A WOMAN from Bath has embarked on a 15,000ft tandem skydive in aid of a cause close to her heart.

Vicky Strange, from Bath, husband Simon and their two sons Jack and Tom, have known Launceston lady Val Bugden-Cawsey and her husband Terry for approximately five years, having shared a pitch at the Plymouth Sound caravan site for some time. They all keep in close contact, with Vicky and her family ensuring they visit Val and Terry in Launceston each time they visit Plymouth for their holidays.

However, having heard about Val’s diagnosis of a rare form of malignant melanoma, Vicky was keen to fundraise for Val’s Malignant Melanoma Research Fund — in the form of a skydive! On Sunday, November 18 Vicky embarked on her challenge in Honiton and, so far, has raised around £750 towards the cause, with money still coming in.
