A SUSPECTED illegal rave which took place in the Camelford area from December 26 to 27 has come to an end.
It was said that police were called to attend to a report of a large number of cars turning off the A395 carriageway towards a woodland area just before midnight on Boxing Day.
Officers were provided with more information about a suspected illegal rave taking place.
The road was closed and officers remained within the area to prevent others from entering.
It was then made clear on December 27 by Devon and Cornwall Police that the music had stopped and the stages and equipment were dismantled and removed by organisers – there were still a small number of people in the area at the time.
Officers remained at the scene to ensure everyone leaving did so safely and that those planning to drive were not under the influence of drink or drugs.
