THE St Mabyn Young Farmers’ Club (YFC) has been fundraising to support the Port Isaac RNLI’s new lifeboat appeal and a framed photograph was presented to the vice chair recently as a thanks for this work.
The club has successfully raised £1,500 through a range of fundraising efforts. Port Isaac RNLI recently announced an extension to their lifeboat appeal to cover funding for the new lifeboat’s equipment, operational costs and premises when due to enter service in September this year.
Volunteer crew and committee gathered at the lifeboat station to present St Mabyn YFC with a framed and inscribed photograph of the current D Class lifeboat in action.
Senior helm Damien Bolton gave them a tour of the station and a talk on the history of the station and the lifeboat.
Thanks were conveyed by all for the continued support of the appeal.
