SUPERFAST Cornwall is celebrating a major milestone with half of all Cornish businesses and residents now able to order high-speed fibre optic broadband. Blisland, a village on the edge of Bodmin Moor, is the latest community to be upgraded.
Around 125,000 Cornish premises now have access to fibre broadband services as a result of the £132-million Superfast Cornwall programme —a partnership between the European Union, BT and Cornwall Council, to roll-out faster broadband across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
Superfast Cornwall has seen take-up of faster services increase significantly with 400 people across the county connecting each week.
Blisland was over the moon to hear that superfast broadband had arrived in the area.
