OPEN farm events took place at Fernhill Farm, Clawton, and Blackberry Farm near Holsworthy recently.

The events, taking place on Sunday, June 10, offered a whole range of fun activities for families and visitors.

Tractor and trailer rides, riverside walks, getting close to the calves, heifers and cows, and watching the milking from the gallery and the parlour were popular activities at Fernhill, along with picnics and a variety of refreshments.

At Blackberry Farm — also known as Lizzy’s Larder — visitors were able to meet the animals, play on the bouncy castle and browse stalls in aid of Devon Air Ambulance.

There were also opportunities to meet ‘Harry Horse Power’ and Peppa Pig, and have a go on the miniature steam engine!
