THE recent Stratton Fete, held at Barnfield Park, proved a thoroughly entertaining and enjoyable day for all who went along.

Bill Kneebone was attributed with helping create a wonderful and nostalgic setting for the once yearly showpiece.

Children splashed in the river, falling off the greasy poles placed for attempts at crossing, canine enthusiasts brought their pets along for the dog show and the 'Stratton Olympics' were great for the more competitive in attendance!

There were so many things to do for both children, adults and those in-between, including 'welly wanging', a coconut shy, food tents, a hog roast, a tombola, cake and plant sales and much more.

A wonderful community spirit prevailed as queues of people lined the street of Barnfield Park to gain entrance to what could well become, once again, an annual event.
