‘MS CORNWALL Galaxy’ Celena Wolfe will represent the county once more for the national title — ten years since she last represented the county.
Celena, who lives near St Breward, having recently won the title of Ms Cornwall Galaxy 2016/17, will be competing in the grand final in March with girls from all over the country for the title of Ms Galaxy UK and a once in a lifetime trip to America.
Celena said: “In 2006 I represented Cornwall in Miss England as Miss County Of Cornwall! It’s so great to represent Cornwall again ten years later!
“I am so excited to have made it to the final, it is a great achievement and I cannot wait to meet all of the other ladies! Some I already know from the pageant circuit. I have friends all over the world I have met through pageantry and it’s always fabulous to meet up with them!”
Celena (pictured) has previously represented the South West in Inspiration Woman UK and England in Face Of The Globe, after winning her South West division.
The winner of Ms Galaxy UK will travel to the USA with contestants from all over the world, to compete in the international final of Ms Galaxy, which is being held in the summer of 2017.
The International final is a truly amazing experience with the Galaxy International being rank ninth in the world by online pageant resources site The Pageant Planet.
On her journey she will be fundraising for the national charity The Christie, the leading NHS hospital specialising in cancer care, research and education. She is also looking to help Cornish specific charities.
Celena also leads a somewhat double life — by day she works as a farmer and equestrian coach.
“I am a real country girl, I love my farming, dogs and horses! But who doesn’t like to get glammed up every once in a while?” she added.
With that in mind, Celena is running the Miss South West Inspiration competition, along with Ms United Kingdom Beautiful, Rachel Metcalf from Somerset. Rachel, who was Miss Inspiration UK 2015, with Celena, who was Inspiration Woman UK 2015, are running the South West Inspiration regional competition on behalf of the Inspiration UK Director Lydia Ynell Pugh.
Celena said: “Once you’re in a pageant family, you have so much fun and make so many friends, you don’t want to leave!”
Celena and Rachel are looking for contestants across four age divisions from six years and up.
“Inspiration is open to everyone of all ages, shapes and sizes. It is a natural pageant so only the teen ages up are allowed to wear stage make-up. Contestants will compete on the catwalk in fashion wear and evening gown and there are extra points available for charity works and publicity. With awards such as Miss Curves, Miss Photogenic, Miss Charity to name a few, it’s a pageant that rewards hard work and effort!”
The Miss Inspiration South West is being held in Exeter on October, 29. The winners will receive an assortment of prizes and free entry into Miss Inspiration UK in April 2017.
