DR CHRIS Jarvis of Trevalga, Boscastle was recently awarded the Robert Atkins Award, pres­ented for con­sistently valuable service to a national sporting org­anisation.

The award was established to increase medical supp­ort and active involvement in sports medicine, in recognition of of a doctor who has provided, for not less than five years the most consistently valuable med­ical (clinical/preventive) service to a national sporting organisation or sport in general.
