Span Arts, Pembrokeshire's leading arts and community charity, has over the last month been conducting an important audience survey to find out what cultural events the people of Pembrokeshire enjoy most and want to see more of.
Thanks to an incentive where one lucky person could win a Golden Ticket which entitles the winner to a year's worth of free tickets to all Span Arts events, the response to the survey was overwhelming.
The results are in and the winner has been announced. Congratulations go to winner Sara Maynard from Saundersfoot whose name was drawn from the 150 people who responded.
Span Arts deliver a diverse and exciting range of live arts, including theatre, music, dance, storytelling, workshops and the Narberth A Cappella Voice Festival, the only festival of its kind in Wales.
The survey is part of an ongoing Audience Development project being conducted by Span Arts and they would like to thank everybody who contributed their opinions and made the survey such a success.
The results from the survey will be added to a range of other feedback gathered by Span Arts and will have a direct impact on the way Span Arts programme and promote events in the future.
Some interesting results have been generated, for example feedback suggests the people of Pembrokeshire would like to see more current, popular and folk music and are keen to have access to more theatre.
The survey shows that Pembrokeshire people have a healthy appetite for live performance, with 78 per cent of respondents attending live events locally from once a month to once every six months.
