AS we approach the summer season there will be many events excitingly scribbled in the calendar for residents and visitors in the county, however, for many the arrival of the South West Truckers will certainly be up there as a highlight.
Each year, a fleet of trucks make their way through Bude providing a fun-filled day for some very deserving locals, while also offering a fantastic sight for those lining the streets.
On Sunday, June 9, the convoy will leave Bude Rugby Club at 10.30am, travelling past Morrisons and Coast View, before following the A39 to The Milky Way
The convoy will be taking a group of young people and adults who have experienced challenging times on a day out at The Milky Way Adventure Park.
After a day of fun, the group will make its way back to Bude Rugby Club at around 3.45pm
Jo Vanstone, one of the event organisers, told the Post: “Huge thanks to Devon Truck Show for their sponsorship, The Milky Way Adventure Park for hosting us and to all of the drivers who give up their time to transport our guests.
“We appreciate everybody's patience whilst we convoy. Please come out and give us a wave!”
