Pupils and staff at Coads Green Primary School are delighted with their recent OFSTED visit outcome.

The school was deemed to be ‘good’ in all areas, with inspectors describing the school as ‘happy and thriving’, with a ‘warm and welcoming environment’. The children have been praised for their ‘exemplary’ behaviour.

Claire Bader, head teacher, said: “Our previous OFSTED took place in October 2016, which was a very long time ago! We joined An Daras Trust in July 2018 and since then we have been working collaboratively to further improve our standards. The staff, governors and pupils are absolutely thrilled with our ‘good’ outcome, which truly reflects the hard work that has taken place”.

The school was recognised for it’s ambitious curriculum and inclusive culture. Inspectors also commented that ‘staff are experts in teaching children to read’, and that the teaching of phonics is highly effective.

Coads Green Primary School is a small, rural school, located between Launceston and Callington, with places currently available for children aged three to 11 years.
