RGB Building Supplies has selected St Kew ACE Academy Pre-School as a finalist in its Well Built Community Fund and it’s now down to a public vote to see if it’s chosen to receive £1,000 worth of building materials.

As part of the pre-school’s new approach to early years childcare, children spend much of their learning outside exploring, imagining and being physically active.

There is currently no undercover area for the children to play outside when it’s raining, so if the pre-school was chosen as the winner of the Community Fund, they would use the money to purchase materials to build a shelter.

St Kew ACE Academy Pre-School is up against Compass Disability Services in Taunton and Blue Cross in Tiverton.

Steve Best, branch manager at RGB Bodmin, said: “Our Well Built Community Fund continues to prove extremely popular and once again we were inundated with nominations from schools, community groups, projects and charities from the region, so congratulations to the pre-school for being chosen as a finalist. As its local branch, we’re encouraging people in the area to get involved and vote for them.”

Votes can be cast by visiting RGB’s Bodmin branch during opening hours and placing a chip in the relevant box, by voting in the poll that will be at the top of RGB’s Facebook page, or by emailing and putting the name of the group being voted for in the subject line.

The vote will take place between Monday, March 26 and Sunday, April 8, 2018. Votes cast outside these dates will not be counted. Only one vote per person via each method of voting will be counted.

The winner of the £1,000 worth of building materials will be the group that receives the most votes.
