VOLUNTEERS from SARA – the Severn Area Rescue Association – demonstrated their life-saving skills at an open day at their Beachley station.
The annual open day also included the Chepstow Coastguard and a visit from Gloucestershire Police.
There was also the chance to talk with volunteers about SARA's rescue work both in the river and on land.
There was a display of the power of the largest vessel at Beachley, SARA1, Joe Harris, which was launched.
The boat is due to be replaced later this year at a cost of around £200,000.
Also on display was "Mobile 20" a Land Rover Disco Sport on loan from Jaguar Land Rover through the Prince's Countryside Fund.
