FESTIVAL goers were taken on a voyage of culinary discovery and musical mischief on the banks of the Camel Estuary.
More than 3,000 people attended the Rock Oyster Festival at Dinham House to enjoy the foodie talent and music acts between Friday and Sunday.
Headliners included synth pop's first international superstars The Human League, girl group Sugababes and indie rockers The Bombay Bicycle Club. Other acts included Arrested Development, Norman Jay, CMAT, Gentleman’s Dub Club and Newton Faulkner.
The Rock Oyster Festival has undoubtedly become the biggest food festival in the South West with a host of top chefs performing cookery demonstrations, which included Matt Tebbutt, Emily Scott, Jack Stein, Thuy Diem Pham, Mark Hix, and Richard Bertinet.
Amongst the high points of the weekend was the Sharp’s Brewing Co’s Silent Bistro. Festivalgoers were invited to don some headphones and tune in to the sounds, flavours and aromas as Sharp’s expert beer sommelier, Ed Hughes, paired dishes with their award-winning beers.
Lee Bater, the managing director of the Rock Oyster Festival, said: “This year's Rock Oyster has been the best yet with standout performances, fantastic food and an incredible atmosphere.
“We'd like to offer a huge thank you to all the artists, chefs, partners, suppliers and our team who worked so hard to produce this year's show.
“Of course, the biggest thank you must go to our fans for their continued support. We can't wait to welcome you all again next year when we'll be back bigger and better. Watch this space.”
