Drivers in and around Cornwall will have 17 National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.
But the news isn't too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that five closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:
• A30, from 7pm November 29 to 6am December 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 eastbound, Fivelanes carriageway closure between exit and entry slip roads for resurfacing, diversion via local road through Fivelanes.
• A30, from 8pm November 14 to 6am December 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 between Chiverton Cross and Carland Cross traffic signals for Chiverton to Carland improvement scheme.
• A38, from 9pm December 2 to 6am December 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 both directions Island Shop to Trerulefoot - Convoy Working for White Lining/Road Markings.
• A30, from 8pm June 30 2021 to 6am December 1 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 Zelah narrow lanes and 50 mph speed limit for Chiverton to Carland improvement scheme.
• A30, from midnight, September 1 2020 to 6am December 16 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 Carland Cross to Chiverton Cross improvement scheme.
And a further 12 closures will begin over the next seven days:
• A38, from 9.30am to 3.30pm on December 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 westbound, Deep Lane to Turfdown mobile lane closures for safety barrier inspections.
• A30, from 7pm December 6 to 6am December 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 eastbound, Fivelanes to Plusha convoy working for resurfacing.
• A38, from 8pm December 6 to 6am December 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 Landrake traffic signals and convoy working for road markings.
• A30, from 8pm December 6 to 6am December 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 westbound, Plusha lane closure for resurfacing.
• A30, from 8pm December 8 to 4am December 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 both directions between Launceston and Liftondown lane closures for structure maintenance.
• A30, from 8pm December 9 to 4am December 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 westbound, Bodmin Bypass lane closure for carriageway repairs.
• A30, from 8pm December 9 to 4am December 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 both directions Preeze Cross lane closures for structure maintenance.
• A30, from midnight, December 12 to 11pm December 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 St Erth used by GWR Railway Replacement Buses on St Erth to St Ives route.
• A30, from midnight, December 12 to 11pm December 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 Truro to Penzance used by GWR Railway Replacement Buses.
• A30, from 8pm December 12 to 6am December 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 westbound, Longrock Bypass carriageway closure for resurfacing, diversion via minor road through Longrock.
• A30, from 8pm December 12 to 6am December 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 eastbound, Fivelanes entry slip road closure for resurfacing, diversion via A30 westbound to Bolventor.
• A30, from 7pm December 14 to 6am December 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 westbound, Five Lanes to Cannaframe lane closure for drainage.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
