THE Chairman of the Launceston and District Branch of the RNLI has been recognised for his long and devoted service in the 2013 list of RNLI Awards.

At a recent presentation ceremony held at the RNLI College in Poole, John Mann was awarded a Bar to his Gold Badge, which he received in 2006.

It was particularly appropriate that his wife Gillian was able to accompany him on this special occasion.
