A NEW market opened its doors at Langtree Parish Hall recently, boasting a wide range of stalls and a café offering affordable meals and refreshments.
The ribbon was cut at 10am by parish hall committee member, Sue Lee before dozens of visitors came through the doors in the first hour of its opening and the market remained busy throughout the day.
Market manager, Adam Nichols, said: “We are absolutely delighted about the turnout we have had today, the support from the locals has been overwhelming and we all felt very welcome at Langtree.
“We are here to provide a unique experience to the village and surrounding areas. We offer people the opportunity to purchase a wide range of products from local farmers and small businesses, whilst having an enjoyable day out, whatever the weather.”
Customers were able to purchase fresh meat, vegetables, fruit, cakes and flowers at the market. The wide range of stalls also included hand-made cards, paintings, woodwork, cards, bric-a-brac, crochet, scarves, books, pet food and candles.
Langtree Indoor Market will run each week at Langtree Parish Hall between 10am and 2pm.
Entry and parking will always be free.
