A REWARD has been offered for information leading to an arrest over the theft of up to £1000 in coins from the Palace Cinema in Alton.
Palace owner Raj Jeyasingam said the culprit(s) entered during opening hours on Thursday and hid in the projection box until the staff left at 10.15pm.
Mr Jeyasingam discovered the break-in at 7.30am on Friday. An orange-handled pick axe was found at the top of the stairs and someone had broken out of the projection box through a locked door.
The money, mainly £1 and 20p coins, was taken from the Bingo Club downstairs.
