Last Saturday saw a good turnout for a '60s and '70s party night at the Community Hall, including an enthusiastic couple from Gloucester who happened to be on holiday in Tenby and saw the event publicised in the Tenby Observer.

Everyone agreed that it was a thoroughly enjoyable evening.

The talented vocalist, Caz B, provided a wide variety of music from the period which encouraged dancing throughout the evening.

A wonderfully varied finger buffet was provided during the interval which reflected the theme of the party. As well as all the usual drinks available at the bar, Snowballs, Babycham and Pina Colada were particularly featured, although at prices rather more than would have been charged during the 1960s!

Many people had made a great effort to come in fancy dress, including some rather dodgy-looking hippies, and at the end of the evening, Caz B was invited to choose winners. The ladies' prize went to Lorraine Phillips and the men's prize to Peter Badham. There were also special prizes for two children, Lanell Brown and Ava Rodriguez.

Dancing went on until late in the evening when the raffle was drawn.

Finally, those who had spent considerable time and effort to organise the event, decorate the hall and prepare the food, were thanked with a well-deserved round of applause.
