TINHAY residents, in Lifton, have been in constant dispute with the factory across the road since work on an extension started last May, including arguments involving behaviour, parking and ownership of land.
West Devon Borough Council approved the application submitted by Ambrosia's, owned by Premier Food, to erect an extension to the existing production facility and realignment of existing service road.
The residents of Station Road, that runs parallel to the new extension, objected to the plans, but were "assured" by the factory that it would not affect them. The only parking available to them is directly outside their homes, along Station Road.
Geraldine Hidar, one of the Station Road residents, said: "We have to park on the road outside our houses, we have no option, I'm worried that this could be compromised."
