MEMBERS of the beach cleaning group Widemouth Task Force were delighted to find out that a young seal pup rescued locally in October last year has since been spotted, safe and well.

Group leader, Ado Shorland, was glad to report to other members that the male seal, which was named Hawkmore, and was rescued on a local beach near Bude on October 13, 2017, was recently spotted at Mother Ivey’s beach.

Hawkmore was found with an orange tag and appeared to look ‘strong, healthy’ and was sunbathing in the warm Cornish weather.
