A much-needed ramp to replace the steps leading from Belmore Gardens into Northfield Road is a little closer to being installed.

A grant funding bid has now been submitted to the Welsh Government to access funding to install the ramp.

Clr. Wynne Evans (pictured) said discussion and identifying the need for this ramp had taken place over a long period and all agreed that they must be active in achieving this installation.

Funding has also recently been secured by the county council for a new scheme to assist pedestrians at crossing points in High Street and also at the junction of Spring Gardens and Northfield Road.

In addition, a new link footpath from Redstone Court to join the new footpath on the perimeter of the rugby ground is likely to start late summer early autumn.
