THE Forest of Dean Ramblers have completed their 136-mile walk from Plynlimon to Chepstow after nearly two years.

In 2013, the group set themselves the challenge to walk from the source of the River Wye in Wales and each year spent a long weekend walking a different section of the 136 miles.

This year they completed the walk commencing at Breinton, near Hereford, walking for three days to Lydbrook. After having two weeks off they rejoined the trail at Lydbrook to walk for three days completing the trial at Chepstow.

Member Barbara Fisher said: "Besides walking, we maintain footpaths and have a very special event, by invitation only, on June 9 when we will be officially opening the Upper Forge Bridge and footpath."
