Members and friends of Raglan Baptist Church are organising a special event this Friday evening (May 22, 7.30pm) to help victims of the recent earthquakes in Nepal.

The church has links with Nepal going back decades. At the moment it is supporting the Chadwell family based in Khatmandu and is involved in medical and educational training both in the capital and in more remote areas.

Several local stars are currently working together to stage a memorable evening of music to raise funds for the current emergency.

Among those taking part will be musician Geoff Downes - who had a number one hit worldwide with Video Killed the Radio Star with the band Buggles and is always keen to support local events - singer songwriter Angharad Griffiths and her sister Rhiannon and Dave Griffiths who will be making a welcome return to the Raglan stage.

Sharing the stage will be Catherine and Rob and flautist Catherine Handley

Further details of the Raglan Concert for Nepal are available from Rob on 01291 691119.

Entry is by donation and you'll need to arrive early as the event is already creating quite a buzz.
