PUPILS at Headley's Holme Primary School spent last Friday fundraising for children in Nepal in the wake of last month's earthquake which killed more than 7,000 people.
As well as it being a non-uniform for the day, the children had fun at lunchtime seeing how long they could make a line of pennies in the playground. The children were able to cover all the lines on the netball court, which amounted to about £100.
Year six pupils then washed the cars of staff and parents.
"We must be the smartest school car park in the county," said The Holme headteacher Ruth Worswick.
"We have raised just short of £300."
