FARNHAM residents objecting to plans to build 157 new homes on greenfield land next to Waverley Lane staged a rush-hour protest at the railway station on Tuesday morning.

Drivers caught in a tailback while the level-crossing barriers were down were confronted by objectors bearing placards warning of even longer queues if Waverley planners grant consent for a new housing development.
