STRATTON Primary School has been transformed over the summer holidays thanks to funding from The Blanchminster Trust.

The school was fast running out of suitable storage facilities for the increased numbers of children's scooters and bikes coming to school and the entrance space was looking shabby and tired.

"So many of our children travel to and from school either by foot, bike or scooter now, thanks to our green travel initiatives, but the problem was where to store the bikes and scooters. They became a messy tangled heap of metal piled up by the school gates," said Phil Aldis, school headteacher.
