A PRESENTATION was made to Reg Hambley at Camelford Football Club’s awards night in honour of his 25 years as club manager.
There was an excellent attendance at the awards night and dinner, which was held at Bowood Golf Club.
During the evening, Reg was presented with a silver salver for serving the club as manager for a quarter of a century.
He has seen the club rise from its days at the old ground at Tregoodwell playing in the East Cornwall League to promotion to the Carlsberg Peninsula League Division One West and then promotion to the top league in Cornwall, the Carlsberg Peninsula Premier league.
Rob Cook, treasurer, has also been a faithful servant to the club for over 60 years. He was presented with the Club Person of the Year Cup and an engraved hip flask.
Other winners were: 1st team, Player of the Year — Josh Insley; Manager’s Player of the Year — Dan Balsdon; Highest goal scorer — Mark Gusterson. Young Player of the Year — Charlie Hambly.
2nd team, Player of the Year — Darren Fryer and Seb Stafford; Manager’s Player of the Year — Darren Fryer; Highest goal scorer — Sam Stockdale.
