POLICE attended a council meeting in Buckfastleigh this week amid concerns that an online war of words about planning is getting out of hand.

Residents were warned that a fine line existed between freedom of expression and what could be thought of as threatening behaviour.

PC Will Young, who was present throughout, told the meeting he had attended after monitoring the escalating online arguments.
