A MAN is in a serious condition after falling from a wall at Launceston Castle.
Police were called to reports for the concern of the welfare of a man in his 30’s, at Launceston Castle.
Police officers and negotiators attended the scene at around 3pm on Sunday, February 17.
The man had reportedly fallen from the wall and taken to hospital in a serious condition, although it is not believed to be life-threatening.
Enquiries into the incident are ongoing, with a scene guard in place at the castle, an English Heritage attraction.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: “Police were notified at around 3pm on Sunday February 17, to reports of a concern of welfare of a man in Launceston.
“Officers and police negotiators attended the scene at Launceston Castle.
“A man in his 30s had reportedly fallen from a wall and was taken to hospital in a serious condition.
“His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
“Officers are continuing with their enquiries and a scene guard is currently in place at the castle.”
