Devon and Cornwall Police have launched an appeal for information after a Launceston fuel station was allegedly burgled in the early hours of Tuesday morning (January 10).
It comes after reports that the Co-Op fuelling station, at Woburn Garage on Western Road, was broken into at around 4am.
It was reported that access had been gained to the fuel station with a “quantity of cash and other items” being taken before the suspects left the area in a vehicle.
Police are asking for anyone who was in the area or saw any suspicious behaviour to come forward to assist with their enquiries.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: “Police were called shortly before 4am to a premises on Western Road, Launceston, following reports of a burglary.
“It was reported that access had been gained and items, including a quantity of cash, had been taken. The suspects then left the area in a vehicle.
“Enquiries remain ongoing at this time and police would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed any suspicious behaviour. Any information can be reported via 101 or using our online reporting form quoting occurrence number 50230006670.”
