CALLINGTON Town Council have expressed their disappointment after the newly-installed play area equipment at Saltash Road Recreation Ground was vandalised for the second time in a fortnight in the early hours of Wednesday, August 29.
A police spokesman said: “We’re really disappointed to discover that some of the new toddler play equipment in Saltash Road Recreation Ground has been vandalised overnight.
“The play equipment was only installed a couple of weeks ago and this is the second time it has been vandalised.
“The incident will be reported to the police but if anyone has any information or saw anything, please let us know.”
In response, police said: “Callington Police are appealing for information following the new toddler equipment in Saltash Road Recreation Ground, Callington, being damaged.
“This mindless vandalism is inexcusable. If anyone has any information, please make contact with us on 101 quoting the reference number CR/079402/18.”
