The theme of this year's National Parks Week, which runs from July 27 to August 2, is Landscapes of Plenty, a fitting description for the Pembrokeshire Coast, which boasts one of the most diverse landscapes in the country.

The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority has arranged an exciting range of events to help you mark this special week, with miles of rugged coastline, sandy beaches, wooded estuaries and wild hills out there just waiting to be explored.

National Park chairman, Clr. Mike James, said: "National Parks Week is about celebrating everything that is unique and wonderful about the finest protected landscapes in the country.

"The Pembrokeshire Coast is the UK's only truly coastal National Park, but there is far more to the area than just beautiful scenery. The National Park is home to around 1,400 businesses, supporting more than 7,000 jobs, and contributes £187m Gross Value Added to the Welsh economy."

One of the best ways to sample the world-class National Park landscape is on foot, whether it's by taking in part of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path National Trail or one of the many inland routes.

This year, the new guided walk events titled More than a Walk will see a National Park guide help you uncover the stories of the landscape, creatures and people that give this National Park its unique character.

There are two of these walks taking place during National Parks Week, on Caldey Island on July 27 and in the Preseli Hills on July 31, offering a chance to see two very different landscapes in diverse areas of the National Park.
