NORTH Hill Parish Council have explored some of the latest planning applications in the area at its most recent meeting.
First on the agenda were several planning applications which had been submitted. Firstly, the demolition of the existing wooden carport and replacement with single storey extension, and a single storey extension to the side and rear, where it was agreed there were no objections (PA24/05278).
Next, plans on land at Coads Green were discussed following re-consultation with additional plans (PA24/05961). The council were in agreement with the additional dimensions provided and had no objection to the application.
It was confirmed at the meeting that North Hill Parish Council had submitted a formal response to Cornwall’s Housing Decarbonisation Strategy, and agreed that if Cornwall Community Land Trust were able to identify any potential land for development, North Hill Parish Council would be happy to meet with them to discuss the next steps.
At the request of several members of the public a new dog waste bin has now been purchased and will be located on the road coming out of Bathpool as from the end of October. The car park at North Hill Village Hall was also discussed again as some members of the public use the car park regularly, however this is reportedly restricting less able bodied visitors from accessing activities in the village hall as they cannot park close to the hall entrance. It was agreed that letters would be sent out and a solicitor would be instructed with a view to registering the land.
As done in previous years, North Hill Parish Council will arrange the laying of the wreath on Remembrance Day at Congdon’s Shop War Memorial. Hymns are sung and all members of the public are welcome to attend at 3pm.
Finally, a lengthy report was forwarded by Cornwall ward councillor Adrian Parsons regarding the proposed works at Plusha Junction by National Highways following a meeting being held which was reported to be “extremely busy” all day. A questionnaire is available to complete from National Highways where members of the public can have their say.
