People are being invited to celebrate National Cream Tea Day today (June 30) by tucking into a scone and hosting a cream tea in aid of their local children’s hospice.
Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) will also be holding cream teas at each of their hospices for the families they support to enjoy.
The charity are encouraging supporters to take part in their Big South West Cream Tea to help raise vital funds for children and young people living with life-limiting conditions.
Amanda Masters, Area Fundraiser for CHSW said: “Now is the perfect time of year to have a cream tea, we would love for people to host one and raise money for us! It really does make all the difference.”
CHSW runs three children’s hospices across the South West, including Little Harbour which is situated on the Cornish coast looking out over St Austell Bay.
Amanda said: “It costs nothing to sign up and by hosting or taking part in a cream tea event, you raise money for families and help make the most of short and precious lives.
“The fundraising pack contains everything you need to host the perfect, summery cream tea, including bunting and recipes!”
