AROUND £600 worth of football kit which was stolen over the weekend at the home of the first team's manager is to be replaced by a new sponsor.
Secretary of the Rank Outsiders, in Cinderford, Rich Bennett, said golf clubs and petrol strimmers were also taken from the garage of Royston Baldwin on Saturday night.
He said: "It's very disappointing this has happened as the kit not only costs a lot of money but would have no use to anybody as it has our club logos on them. Luckily we have found another sponsor to pay for the kits. We are really grateful to Brian Jones, of Partington Engineering in Cinderford, who has kindly stepped into the breach.
"The landlady of the Nags Head in Cinderford, Linda Beddington, sponsored the kits two to three years ago so she is naturally upset about the theft."
A Gloucestershire Police spokesman added: "The garage was broken into between 3pm on April 25 and 10.30am on April 26. Anybody with any information should call the police on 101 quoting incident number 126 of April 26."
