MEMBERS of Holsworthy Town Council have returned to transform the town's streets this summer for the tidy town campaign. The scheme, which welcomes support from volunteers, was launched last year to clean up neglected areas of Holsworthy. Cllr Ken Watson said: "The winter has left the town looking a bit weary and the plan is to do some litter picks and cleaning through spring and summer." The next event is on Saturday, May 10, meeting outside number 4, The Square (council offices) at 9.45am for registration. If you know of an area that needs tidying up contact the council via the website [email protected]">[email protected]
CLEANING some of the town’s signs are deputy mayor Cllr Pam Johns, Cllr Ken Watson and Mike Herera from the public. Also on cleaning duties were the mayor, Cllr John Allen, Cllr Martin Prentice and Mary Barfett.
