THE Tamar Otter and Wildlife Centre at North Petherwin has retained the Gold level CHEFS Award in recognition of its continued commitment to offering healthy menu options using locally sourced food.

The Award means that the Tamar Otter and Wildlife Centre will continue to be able to display the distinctive blue logo, which tells customers that it has adopted and maintains a high degree of food safety and standards provides and promotes a selection of local foods as well as using healthier cooking methods.

Mandy Allen, from the centre says: "We are delighted to have received our second Gold CHEFS Award as it shows our continuing commitment to providing a high quality service to all our customers whether local or holiday

"Being a small business, this is a team effort so a big thank you to everyone who helps in the tea room but especially to Jacqui Watson Briggs and Pat Ellacott who work alongside me."
