A MAN has been taken to hospital following a collision between a car and a motorcycle in Launceston.

Police were called to Hurdon Road in Launceston, at around 8.20am this morning (September 11), following reports of a collision between a car and a motorcycle.

Ambulance crews were also called to assist on the scene.

The motorcyclist, a male, was taken to hospital to be checked over after the incident.

He is not believed to have been seriously injured.

The site of the accident was cleared by around 9.30am.
