Liz Western, healthy schools and pre-schools co-ordinator for Pembrokeshire, visited Templeton School last Wednesday to present the school with the Phase 3 Healthy Schools award as part of the Healthy Schools Initiative. The award was presented to Mrs. Logan, Templeton School healthy school co-ordinator, and representatives from the school council. During this third phase, Mr. Phelps (headteacher), Mrs. Logan (healthy schools co-ordinator) and all school staff and pupils have addressed the criteria for the two new areas of 'Safety' and 'Substances' and all other action areas from phases 1 and 2 are shown to be embedded within the value system of the school. This year, Templeton School also became recognised as Sector Leading in Pupil Voice, a further aspect of healthy schools. Mrs. Logan added: "We are delighted with our achievements and the report we have received."
