Orielton CP School have won the Junior Choir competition held annually by the Pembroke and District Male Voice Choir.

The choir, accompanied by young musicians from the school, performed 'Sing,' the Queen's Golden Jubilee song, and 'I can't wait to be king' from Disney's The Lion King.

The celebration concert, performed by the three placed schools and the PDMVC, took place at Pennar Community Church and raised money for Christian Aid.

Orielton CP School received the trophy and £100 prize money.

Kate James, Class 1 teacher, said: "Music is a very important part of the curriculum, which all our pupils enjoy. Our choir has been placed many times before and we're delighted that all their hard work rehearsing has achieved the top spot this year."
