Saundersfoot Community Council held their annual general meeting at the Regency Hall, on Friday, when Clr. Phil Baker was elected as chairman to serve for 2015/6.

Clr. Baker received the 'chain of office' from outgoing chairman, Bill Cleevley, and thanked him for his work as chairman and for stepping into the breach last year when the chairmanship unexpectedly became vacant.

Clr. Baker went on to thank his fellow councillors, John Griffiths, the former clerk to the council who after 18 years service to the community retired in March this year, and the new clerk, Virginia Taber.

He said he was looking forward to chairing the community council in an open and transparent manner in the year ahead.

Clr. Sue Boughton-Thomas was duly elected to serve as vice-chair.
