The new amenities block at Lifton Primary School was officially opened on Friday, October 23 by Cllr Christine Marsh, assisted by headteacher Mrs Kui Holmes and Graeme Barriball (chair of governors). All at Lifton Community Primary School were delighted to welcome Cllr Christine Marsh to perform the official opening ceremony for the school's new Key Stage 2 extension building. This new building provides spacious cloakrooms and modern, well-designed toilet facilities for Key Stage 2 pupils. The provision of hot water, heating and good ventilation constitutes a major improvement on the previous ones which dated from the 1960s when the school was built. Headteacher, Mrs Kui Holmes said: "These smart new facilities are very welcome as they not only provide much needed cloakroom space for the children, but have transformed the toilets and brought them fully up-to-date, creating a really pleasant atmosphere and experience for those using them. We are very grateful to Devon County Council for their help with achieving such a successful project."
