AN application has been submitted to Waverley Borough Council for a replacement agricultural barn at Barfold Estate in Haslemere after a change of use was granted last year on appeal for the original building to be be converted to stables for the Cortium polo team.

The proposed barn, which will measure 20m x 23m, has already been criticised as "excessive". It will be located "centrally to the whole estate" and is needed to provide secure storage for equipment.
