A LOT of fun was had in the sunshine at St Endellion with St Peters Port Isaac Annual Garden Fete on August 14.

The event was a huge success and raised in excess of £5,000.

A spokesperson said: “There was something for everyone, from locally grown produce, home made cakes and preserves, books, toys, plants, crafts and bric a brac.

“Stunning prizes were offered in the raffle, and there was plenty of variety to be won on the tombola. Younger fete-goers were entertained by a variety of games; rats were splatted, ducks were hooked, golf balls putted, faces were painted and puppets were cheered and booed.

“St Minver Brass band provided the musical entertainment, with cream teas and Pimms were served to keep everyone going throughout the afternoon. A total of £5,283 was raised, many thanks to everyone who came along for their support.”
