This year’s Poppy Appeal held in Holsworthy has raised £4,340.

The local Army Cadets, in their role as an affiliated unit,  collected £1,173 of this total  across two weekends.

Speaking for Holsworthy Royal British Legion (RBL)  the two members who organised this year’s Poppy Appeal, Shirley and Lizzy Crane, thanked all those who supported the cause this year.

They said: “We would like to thank the cadets for their fantastic effort and indeed everyone in and around Holsworthy who assisted Holsworthy RBL with this year’s collection.”

Holsworthy RBL are seeking additional volunteers for future events or to become members.
