Cancer Research UK held their annual Christmas concert with Johnny Cowling at the Launceston Town Hall on Wednesday, December 7.

A spokesperson from the Launceston Cancer Research committee said: “The Cancer Research UK - Launceston committee would like to thank all the amazing guests that came along to watch Johnny Cowling - Pure Gold Cornish Legend! deliver his fantastic repertoire of Elvis classics and Christmas songs last week.

“We raised just over £3,600 for this amazing charity, so thank you all for your generosity. Thanks also to the Launceston Town Hall and all of the local businesses that were kind enough to donate prizes for our raffle and auction.

“You all made it the event that it was. We’ll definitely see you again this time next year...and maybe even in the Summer too for a BBQ...more info to follow!”
