Tenby is to receive extra police 'manpower' to patrol the resort over the summer season, town councillors heard this week.
In a report before members of Tenby Town Council at their meeting on Tuesday night, Inspector Mark McSweeney informed them that summer staffing was looking "very healthy" for Tenby as the force had secured four extra police officers for the town for three months, and that for the end of July and during August, there would also be more sergeants patrolling the resort on foot.
"This will also give good coverage for all the Summer Spectacular events," wrote Insp McSweeney.
Clr. Lawrence Blackhall said that the additional police resources for Tenby were "incredibly welcome" and that he hoped the foot patrols would target the most high profile areas in the town.
