FIFTY people took part in a 12km Memory Walk over the weekend, raising money for the Alzheimer’s Society and other good causes.
The walk was organised by Tina Urquhart, who lives in Callington, who has been raising money for the Alzheimer’s Society for some years as her mother, Dilys Todd, previously of Week St Mary, had the disease.
Tina is a deputy manager of Bowden Derra Park, a residential home for adults with learning disabilities in Polyphant, so those taking part in the walk on Saturday, September 8 were staff, residents, families and friends of Bowden Derra Park.
The walk started at Screetch Owl Sanctuary, Goss Moor. A few took part to raise money for their own chosen charities. Fordham Finance Group kindly provided medals for the walkers.
Tina said: “Fifty walkers took part, of all abilities and all had an amazing day.
