Devon equine welfare charity The Mare and Foal Sanctuary is inviting visitors to meet the horses and ponies living at its Upcott Park Sanctuary near Holsworthy at a special event on Wednesday.
The charity has around 30 horses and ponies living at Upcott Park which will be ready to find new homes in coming months. Some are perfect to be rehomed as companions, some can be ridden, and some would benefit from an experienced handler interested in continuing their training.
Visitors are invited to tour the yard, meet staff and say hello to all of Upcott Park’s equine residents. Coinciding with Holsworthy Market Day, visitors are welcome to enjoy some stunning views with a stroll across the Sanctuary’s paddocks and woodland. Tea, coffee and traybakes are available all day and visitors may also pick up a bargain at the charity’s ‘Pre-loved Tack Sale’.
Tickets to the event are free and anyone interested is encouraged to pre-book a morning or afternoon tour on The Mare and Foal Sanctuary’s website: https://www.mareandfoal.org/event/upcott-rehoming-event/
